Andrew Smith is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Quantum Expert and Construction Adjudicator, with over 35 years experience within the construction industry, specialising in dispute avoidance and dispute resolution.‍ Andrew is Managing Director of Andrew D Smith Ltd, which he set up in 2015, prior to which he spent 25 years working for a global Main Contractor.

Andrew is regularly appointed as an Expert in quantum disputes. He has represented Employers, Consultants, Main Contractors, Sub-Contractors, and Insurers. Andrew's evidence has covered disputes including defects, reinstatement works, delay damages, loss and/or expense, variations, compensation events, target costs, and disallowed costs.

Andrew is also a Construction Adjudicator on the RICS Presidents panel and CIArb panel, and he is regularly appointed on a range of dispute types including valuation of changes, delay, termination, smash and grab, defects, and completion.
